Losar (Tibetan New Year) 2010
Lama Jampa Tenzin decided that a prayer flag and prayer ceremony would be of great benefit to our Centre and the world. He therefore organized students of the VBDS to help him create and raise the beautiful, decorative flag you now see flying brightly at the Dharma Centre, carrying off Lama Tenzin’s carefully hand lettered prayers onto the winds and into the air over Victoria.
This emblem will remind us continually of the need to strive for peace in our own minds, in our neighbourhoods, our communities, and among nations. All who see it are also reminded of the strength and enthusiasm of Lama Jampa’s aspiration.
First Anniversary of Geshe-la’s Passing & Consecration of Statue of Sakya Pandita.
“There has been a hive of activity at the Dharma Centre since Lama Kunga and Lama Tashi arrived. The shrine has been reorganized, statues have been and still are being filled with prayers and sealed in preparation for the anniversary of Geshe-la’s passing on Sept. 7 2008 and for the transition of the Dharma Centre to the leadership of Lama Jampa.” ~Terry Chantler
